I don't watch 1080 content on the computer, so any additional screen 
space is appreciated. For editing, it's nice to have a few pixels above 
or below for timeline controls.

I'd assume that the 1920x1200 is also a result of the previous 1600x1200 
standard for 20" TFTs - just make the screen wider and you can 
accomodate HD.
