My monitor just 'inhaled' (the tube somehow decided to do the opposite 
of evacuation. I dunno, the electron gun'tube'thing cracked all on its 
own)  !!

It's dead, Jim.
I am Remote Desktopping until I can afford to replace it.
It always seems when I may come into some cash, things start dying.
No point going CRT.

Any very good 22"+ LCD wideboy make/model recommendations?
My budget is up to about £150.
DVI and VGA multi-inputs a bonus.
Picture quality and build quality/styling paramount.
Speakers unwanted.
