If you wanted to load Ubuntu on a recent macbook, I can send you my (copious) 
installation notes for 8.04. Sound doesn't have bass, and display not good for 
pro image editing, wireless occasionally breaks with Ubuntu updates, but 
otherwise, holy ****, this thing is a dream.
