And that is why I use a Mac (my PowerPC MacMini with Leopard & Tiger) as my primary computer and my custom homebuilt AthlonXP2400+ from 2001-2002 with WindowsXP Home with SP3 as my secondary computer. Too many days, nights, and weekends wasted troubleshooting and fixing other customers virii and spyware infected PCs to ever bother relying on Windows as a mission critical system.

All just my $.25 from personal experience.

Sorry if I'm seeming to come off as smug and an Apple Fanboy (not the case), but after reformatting a couple customers' computers three times this past year (twice for one of the two customers; wasted my Memorial Day and Christmas holiday weekends) and reinstalling windows and applications from scratch I in all honesty would not put my life's work on a Windows system without multiple backups so that when the virus hits I wouldn't be left high and dry with all my personal data lost.

My sincerest sympathies Mikael. Only thing I can suggest is once you're sure you have a clean system up and running is to use Ghost or another disk cloning system to create a "clean" image so that you don't waste as much time the next time you get hit with a virus and have to reinstall from scratch.
