Is a blog what I need?

Hey all,

  I am wondering if a blog is what I need for the Ableton unsigned
project that I am about to undertake.  I don't possess and have never
used a blog so maybe you guys can help.  The basics of what I am looking
for is that I will post any new mixes to the site and each post will
contain the download link, info about the person that did the mix and
the mix itself, track list etc.   I also want people to be able to leave
comments and if possible rate the mix.  I am also thinking that some
kind of download stats would be nice but I think I can et that through a
plug in.

 

  So, is a blog the best thing for this or should I use a CMS or is
there something else more suited?
