That's definitely a special, last of the night or after dinner dram.
I'd be a bit coy at even opening that one myself. For a start, it would
probably be almost finished the same day if it was all that was in the
cupboard ;)
I've got a bottle of relatively cheap Aberlour etc. for general drinking.
There have been many quite recent single malt bottles of whisky that
have considerably appreciated in value in a short space of time. Like
one of the recent limited runs or special editions...
It's all a bit daft, like the Death of Superman comic hysteria was daft,
but I suppose high priced special whisky might out-date comics. They may
claim that it is a high risk business, but probably not nearly as long
term high risk as something like quality hardwood forestry :)
I've heard this one's alright for drinking, and not expensive compared
with some other piss-takers:

Japanese whisky! I ain't no Scottish Whisky only snob, but I must take
the opportunity to state Jack Daniels tastes like huffing evo-stik, but
a bit harsher ;)
