Jay,

I am very sorry to hear of this.  I have seen that look in people and
sometimes there is something you can do and sometimes there is nothing
- they have already made up their minds.  It takes a soul in true and
terrible pain to go against the natural instinct we have to survive.
If there is comfort to be found in his death, it is that at least his
soul has found peace. Or at least we can hope it has.  He is in the
hands of the universe now, and thats better hands than ours.
