ATTiny programmer?

I'm using ATMEL's bog standard programmer (AVR ISP mkII) which is  
supposed to work with avrdude. But then, I'm using the complete AVR  
dev environment which runs under Windows, so I can't offer first-hand  
advice (other than installing a virtual machine running Windows and be  
done with it).
