True, but by that time, there will be a newer technology, ad infinitum...

What I usually do is get the second-highest specification. So when the 
fastest Nvidia graphics board is the 295, I get the 285. Same for the 
CPU: if the fastest is a 2.93 GHz, I get the 2.66 GHz.
