Similar trends can be seen all over Europe (with the obvious exception 
of Malta, where the Green, Alleanza Nazzjonali (right wing) and 
independent get maybe 1% of the vote *combined*).

In the Netherlands, though, the electorate doesn't just verge towards 
the extreme right, but towards the extreme left as well. Although the 
latest trends show a weakening of the left in favour of the right.

Most of these are protest votes, though, of people being disenchanted 
(or just a bunch of whiners, in my opinion).
