I've always liked Jack Vance, but (a) you need a very good dictionary 
and (b) it may not be your kettle of fish. But he's a very good SF 
writer, especially what he produced up to the 80s. For example, the 
system of magic in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game is based on 
his system of magic in the Dying Earth novels.

(He writes both SF and fantasy, although he doesn't like those labels. 
His stories usually revolve around a stratified society, and one man 
rebelling against it. Travelling by (space) ship is also a recurring theme.)

By the way, why did you set your character set to Simplified Chinese? :)
