Since we went to the trouble to give you a list, you need to report back
with you listening results. ;)

I always hate buying new speakers. One, it's so subjective you are really
on your own even though you feel compelled to do a bunch of research.
Secondly, you know you are not looking for speakers that sound good, but
speakers that let you hear problems. After a couple of hours of looking and
listening, you still are ready to buy the next good sounding thing you hear
to get it over with. Sure, you could spread it over a couple of days so you
have fresh ears but who has the time?

Anyhow, we all will be interested in your results. I would also weigh in
and say you really need 8" speakers. I've not heard anything smaller that
wasn't all tubby and flabby in the lower registers. Sure you can add a sub
but I still find that there is a hole in the response and that is really
hard to make a transportable mix on a sub as it seems almost impossible to
dial in correctly.
