With <relatively> easy hack could put USB on it.
It's not the simplest solution, but the kits and PCB's are available in 
US and EU for reasonable prices.

Do you need touch sensitivity?
If not, it would be trivial to wire up a PIC with a switch array of your 
choice of switch/sensor to send out midi data (the USB thing requires 
extra work)
