I didn't dislike the MOTUs while I had them, and there was
no beating the I/O for the buck, but yeah, the FireFace
sounded excellent, especially when you compared CureMix DSP
{the earlier version - I can't address the new one} and 
RME's TotalMix environment.   This isn't a reflection of the
summing algorithms or anything - the RME just sounded closer
to what came out of my synths if I went straight to
monitors.
