Nick Cave

Hey all - Met up with Tony H last night (plus Leah) and went to see Nick
Cave.  I have never seen him before, he was freakin ace.  He seems to
capture the perfect sweet spot where rock meets theatre; an incredible
performer (but without appearing to 'perform').

 

And of course, he had to finish on the wonderfully poetic Stagger Lee:

On a par with Nick was Warren Ellis (the one that looks like a tramp holding
a fiddle freshly pulled out of a skip).  That guy has a serious stage
presence!

 

Great stuff. Its no wonder many bands sight Nick Cave as being a major
influence and inspiration (even Kylie has said so!)
