If it's 2.4Ghz, it probably is Bluetooth or wifi.
Taking a stab, at only 10 metres range it IS Bluetooth, but obviously
the company has modified, or integrated, drivers to obscure this.

*end cough*

Even without coding knowledge, it is quite easy to modify any midi gear
wireless using available serial drivers and Bluetooth serial modules. No
need to buy expensive 'pro' gear (modules about £10). A small PIC is
required, but only to interpret 38400 to 31250 baud and a few other bits
which amounts to a page or two of code.

The only reason I haven't done so is because I go through phases of
piling up projects and finishing none of them until my head explodes (+
too little cash to finish even half of them)

(as I'm bored and feeling lazy, here's a blurb)
I'm in the middle of too many things just now. The mess is growing...

I have:

An ESL loudspeaker half built. A centre channel ESL. The 1500+ volts
supply is working fine, I have all the bits to get it to the test stage.
One (of four) mylar panels nearly made, it's hard to get the
resistivity high and 5 micron mylar is a bitch to work with (but not as
bad as 0.5 micron stuff). Not there yet..

I'm pottering with a DIY large diaphragm capacitive condenser capsule,
the things in those very expensive studio mics, you know. Like the very
opposite of an ESL with much lower voltages.

The MidiBox FM! All PCB's are made. I have the LCD, LED's all buttons,
rotary encoders, I now (today) have a precut perspex panel to make a
custom laminate finish for the 2u case using double sided tape sheets..
I haven't even wired up all the PCB's to test sound yet, but have tested
the core, LCD and PSU. All good.

A DIY 25 key keyboard (made from a broken one) with at least 2
joysticks, one XY self centred for Pitch and two controllers, and one
with only one axis for a mod stick. I was planning on buying some
Nintendo DS touchscreen pads and wiring them up as XY Pads too, but
things are getting out of hand. This was going to be integrated in the
MBFM above for keys, but I've decided just to make a controller
keyboard. I've already written most of the code using a small gLCD from
the Nokia 3310.

Secondary glazing on the front door window. A simple task, in theory,
but this window suffers from bad condensation, so it's a bit more
difficult than just sticking up a sheet of perspex. Need ventilation
from gap to outside..

Laying solid wood floor. Done! Almost. The scratches!! Aggh! :)

I painted the hall two weeks ago with CROWN BREATHEASY SILK EMULSION and
it must be a bad batch of paint. It is still soft and sticky and worst
of all it stinks of ammonia when the sun comes out. Like 1000 tramps
have taken up residence. Needless to say I have complained and the paint
is at the lab as I type, but all I expect is a voucher from Crown so I
can have the pleasure of redecorating my hall for the second time in a
month.

Some DIY for other peeps.

Some PC and network support.

Playing Bioshock.

Playing Deadspace.

Playing Fallout 3.

At the same time ;)

My cat just came on heat, or Estrus, and is rather annoying.
Like slapping me in the face at 6 in the morning and crying for hours on
end. Vet for you soon, blinky. Your insides are toast.

Making chocolate rum and raison truffles.
Drinking Cuba Libra drinkeepoos.

Raison d'être confusion.
Head explodes soon ;)
