Martin,

Cost of PC, 400 pound, cost of tr 808 emulator (free plugin is available
IIRC).
So, cost isn't a valid point.

Personally, no, synth building isn't what I'd call fun.. Fun is playing with
my dog in the park.
I build synths because I want to push the enveloper a little, The Monowave
was an example, there was nothing like it out there. The MonowaveII was
building on that and taking it further (more modulation, more everything).
My QiX project is, again, an effort at moving a concept forward and
building on it.

I have no problem with people doing what they want with their time, I'd
rather people did this that get p1ssed and start fights, but I don't see
what's so great to shout about.
I'm sure many people asked the same about the Monowave, Monowave II and
Phoenix, so I'm not so much saying "its pathetic or crap" I'm more asking
"Why? What does it help/improve/lead to?"
I honestly don't see the use for a paper driven rhythm sequencer that
requires a computer, webcam and plugin.
The concept of using cameras to pick up motion and objects has been around
for a long time, so what's new? What does this prove?
