If it's what I remember, the whole thing is implemented with high precision, and 
the filters don't actually have *any* distortion that's audible (so they get to 
choose an algorithm that has some better spectral qualities than would otherwise 
be the case), and the distortion is placed after the filters (not inside a 
filter feedback loop). This gives Fabfilter a different sound, which is neither 
analogue, nor the accustomed VA hash of digital artefacts trapped in the m?bius 
strip of resonance that forever adjusts reconfigures and disturbs the ear 
follicles so they never get bored. Better still to implement the analogue 
distortions and have them circulating, but, still, costs CPU, R&D, and well, the 
world ain't ready.
