fwiw, i've got a logitech cordless mouse on mine, and never bother  
with the trackpad personally.  its crap anyway.

besides that, have you tried all the standard fixes, like a hairdryer  
on low for 10 minutes over the pad (in case there's just moisture  
inside), opened it up and jiggled the wires, and all that?

its a pretty nice little system to hack on Dong, maybe you just should  
open up the case before you get all RMA'ey about it, and get started  
on adding stuff to it.  Do you know if the pci-x header is onboard or  
not (not many European EEEPC's have it, but some do..)

i gotta admit, its a badass little machine, especially with gigs and  
gigs of onboard storage space and maxxed out RAM.  i repaired mine  
(busted filesystem) on the weekend and am running ubuntu-studio out of  
the box (pretty much) with full support, and i must say its making a  
very, very nice MIDI sequencing box ..
