I've said this on here before ... But my grandfather used to basically
build the oil refineries in saudi arabia, Kuwait etc... his company
Sparrow International Crane Hire was the main contractor for all the
North Sea Oil rigs as well as having a huge operation in the US and
working for NASA ...
Basically what you say isn't far from the truth. They have been
massaging figures and prices for as long as he (my grandfather) can
remember. Companies buying up profitable rights to pump oil fields in
order to shut them down and stop pumping them in order to decrease
availability.
