I'd add:

use a name that has a story to it (interviewers will always ask)
use a name that you can buy the .com for (as Lincoln Park found out to
their expense)
make sure people can spell it (more important than it used to be

In my case LX Nen isn't a truly great name, but I did get free
personalised plates for my car!
