Well, the ideal solution would be to replace the single socket with a
double one. If you want a really pretty result, this involves turning
the mains of and maybe cutting holes in bricks. It's ok if you are
confident with DIY though, I did it several times at my old house.
Failing that if you don't mind trading off a bit of boxiness in order
to save on powerttoole, there's always a 1 to 2 conversion box:

If you don't need it to look good, just get a 2 way extension lead like this:
