I think if we did a straw poll here that most musicians are also very good cooks or at least do a significant amount of cooking.  I'm not talking "ping" cuisine* here!

I do all the cooking in my house and I know other bar members are certainly good cooks.

I view cooking like making a track.  You need several good quality instruments = ingredients.  You need to season and spice them well = effects\EQ and the mixing and balancing of the flavours is vital.

Proof of the pudding is in the mastering!
