so, whats the idea here?  that the interface should be so obscure only
the owner will know how to use it?

or is it that the interface is so abstracted that the player doesnt
know how the sound is made?  they just press buttons and hope for the
best?

actually, I wouldnt care about either so long as it sounded good.
