Imagine playing your guitar where each string feeds its own multieffects 
unit and then its own Marshall stack!!!  For the serious control freak, 
in addition to recording a regular guitar output through its effects 
into your DAW in stereo, also record each string plain onto its own 
separate track.  Now edit each string's track to remove extraneous 
sounds and use different effects on each track, pan each track to a 
different place in stereo or 5.1...  My head is spinning.  No, wait.  
That's the leslie simulator that is on each string!  :)
