Last night, Angela and I went to the NIN concert in Chicago, closing
out the Lollapalooza festival (which has become an annual chicago
event).

It was *the* best show I have ever seen.

The sound was very tight, and sounded excellent from where we were
standing. the Light show was *amazing*. I dont know how they did it,
but they had this big screens that were in front of and behind the
band creating a 3-d light show - and it was interactive with the band!
Trent could touch areas on the panels and it would change and have
effects on the music (the youtube video posted last week showed one
aspect of this).

Surprisingly, he also played a short *accoustic* set from Ghosts.
They also played 'Piggy' using the same acoustic setup (the upright
bass was perfect on that song). It was really something I didnt
expect to see and was knocked out by it.

The pinnacle of the show came at the end, when they closed out the
show with 'Hurt' as the final encore (actually, they played one song
after that..but shouldnt have..so Ill pretend it wasnt there). There
were half a million people in Grant Park singing along. It was
amazing.

If your into NIN (or even if your not) and you get the chance to see
them, it is really really worth it.

Tony
