I second the Studiolive 24R or 32R. I’ve got the 32. I’ve got all my gear coming to a pair of patch bays under it, and I can run all the inputs into BitWig for mixing/monitoring. My Mac is from 2015, but I’m getting near zero latency (I can’t feel any).
Best setup I’ve had in years!</div>

Ok, if size is that much of a concern, you'll obviously be better off with rack mixer/interface. The Presonus Studiolive 24R or 32R come to mind - it doesn't get much smaller than these with a large number of inputs. I would definitely miss the hands-on interface
though.<br>

No, I did actually mean the M32R. It's perhaps not big for what it does, <br>
but it's big nonetheless, like the 01V is big.<br>
