I’ve been eyeing Focusrite Red 16 Line, RME Fireface UFX+, Motu 828ES, Antelope Orion Studio which all have their pros and cons. I’m not sure about UAD Apollo as they’re quite expensive and only has max 16 inputs unless you’re buying two of them.
So, in the light of mentions of some here switching from RME to UAD, what are your opinions about the future of audio interfaces? Which ones got a nice path laid out for longevity?
Thinking about both the MacOS 3rd party kext's being deprecated and which expansion protocol to get (AVB, Dante, MADI etc.)
