<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;">Yo Guys!<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Right now I’m in the middle of the big renovation of the new (old) house. A room at the top will be the music studio. About 28m2. See attached picture (it’s next to the balcony).<br class=""><br class="">The walls to the neighbours on the left & right are basically two sideways bricks, without any air in between. Say about 20 CM thick. So it would be a good idea to soundproof this room a bit, so the neighbours won’t get too bothered by loud sounds made in the studio…<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’m thinking of a simple intervention, basically placing rockwool on both the left & right side, with plasterboard in front. Should I decouple it from the wall, and if so, how?</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Acoustically I might place some foam acoustic panels on top of the plaster boards, but my main goal is to reduce noise for the neighbours.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thoughts? :)<br class=""><div class=""><br class=""><div class="">-- <br class=""><br class="">Joost Schuttelaar<br class="">The Hague, NL<br class=""></div><img apple-inline="yes" id="B5A60934-F8D0-4EB7-B940-791C03FC1EDA" src="cid:D5A8A561-5B44-42BF-BEB3-1C448DD1BD12@schuttelaar.local" class=""></div></div></div></body></html>
