It’s crazy how you have to overcompensate sometimes in the mix so when you glue with the compressor and try to limit up to current music vol level you don’t lose stuff. </div><div><br></div><div>Basically every modern track I was playing as a reference actually pins the red on my UA Apollo output, the rms’s must be like 1-3 or something. This current export is I think 3, I want to take it down to like 5, as stuff just gets too squashed, but then it’s hard to compete with other tracks vol levels. </div><br><blockquote type="cite"><div><div><br><div id="AppleMailSignature">Sent from Mikaels cellular device</div><div><br>25 sep. 2017 kl. 14:29 skrev Andrew Tarpinian <<a href="mailto:andrewtarpinian@gmail.com">andrewtarpinian@gmail.com</a>>:<br><br></div><blockquote type="cite"><div><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">Hey guys, haven’t posted a new track in a while. I signed up for the deadmau5 Masterclass a while back just for fun. They have a contest where you submit a track and 1st place is 10k and a chance for a release on Mau5trap. This track was tough for me from a mix/master perspective because there are so many layers and especially since I’m still learning. I’m using a combo of outboard and plugs. Curious to see what you guys think of this version. <div><br></div><div><a href="https://soundcloud.com/modulargrey/breathe-v03">https://soundcloud.com/modulargrey/breathe-v03</a></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div></div></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><div><span>_______________________________________________</span><br><span>music-bar mailing list</span><br><span><a href="mailto:music-bar@lists.music-bar.org">music-bar@lists.music-bar.org</a></span><br><span><a href="http://lists.music-bar.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/music-bar">http://lists.music-bar.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/music-bar</a></span><br><span></span><br><span>Listen to Music-Bar Radio! <<a href="http://stream.music-bar.org:8000/radio.m3u">http://stream.music-bar.org:8000/radio.m3u</a>></span></div></blockquote></div></div></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><div><span>_______________________________________________</span><br><span>music-bar mailing list</span><br><span><a href="mailto:music-bar@lists.music-bar.org">music-bar@lists.music-bar.org</a></span><br><span><a href="http://lists.music-bar.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/music-bar">http://lists.music-bar.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/music-bar</a></span><br><span></span><br><span>Listen to Music-Bar Radio! <<a href="http://stream.music-bar.org:8000/radio.m3u">http://stream.music-bar.org:8000/radio.m3u</a>></span></div></blockquote></body></html>
