My gaming rig (I don't really do DAW) is showing its age:<br>
<br>
Intel Core i7 960, stock 3.2 GHz<br>
Supermicro C7X58 motherboard<br>
6 GB RAM (no idea what brand)<br>
Samsung SSD 830 256 GB<br>
Western Digital low-power 2 GB HD<br>
Nvidia GTX 580 graphics card (forgot the brand)<br>
Windows 8.1 Professional<br>

The system has been designed to be as quiet as possible, but with a
GTX 580 on board, there's only so much you can do.<br>
<br>
My 2015 project, funds permitting, will be to build a small gaming
PC to connect to the TV. I can find no justification to upgrade my
current system.<br>
