Do you want Ideas privately or on a publicly archived mailing list?

I've got a lot of ideas, but I guess it would be good to know what your target market is. Teens & Hipsters? Synth Nerds? Professionals? Live players? DJs?

Which you choose will determine what the best product to put forth would be.

That said, if you'd like to design a eurorack module, I have a sequencer design and panel layout that I've been kicking around. I just have no means of actually building it. You can have that design if I can have one when it's done!

Tony

> From: seclorum@mac.com
> Subject: If you could design a music product ..
> Date: Tue, 7 Jan 2014 10:42:33 +0100
> To: music-bar@lists.music-bar.org
>
> .. what would it be?
>
> I’ve just started the new year with my newly-founded company (dynlab.at) and .. while we’re in the middle of development for a large contract with potentially million$ of revenues for us (in a non-related industry), the company was founded with the intention to develop its own products, as well.. so I'm thinking about the near future - and the conclusion is that we will develop music products along-side our existing revenue projects.
>
> I’ve got a few ideas, as I’m sure you understand, based on a few decades of experience in this world so far, but I’m as jaded as anyone who has watched the synth business do what it does, from within and without. So what I’d like to know, is what does music-bar think the music hardware industry needs right now? What would you like to see in a product, developed by dynlab for release on the market towards September/October 2014 (with NAMM 2015 in target)?
>
> Seriously, we have the wherewithal to do this .. now. Our new offices are amazing and we have some great, really great talented people who are working with us, including some hardware guru’s the likes of which I’ve not seen before, and I’ve met a few. (Luckily, they’re not working for GCHQ or the NSA or anything like that, but .. similar calibre of competence, lets just say..)
>
> So, let me hear your ideas for what you’d like to see out there, -bar’ians. I’m going back to the music business.
>
> j.
> _______________________________________________
> music-bar mailing list
> music-bar@lists.music-bar.org
> http://lists.music-bar.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/music-bar
