<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'><div>I am impressed with the amount of power you have in a small form factor. Also, I don't need to use the 'toy' applications on the road or on stage - I can use my *actual* tools. </div><div><br></div><div>See...getting my iPad into my workflow has been difficult. The quality of the apps is mostly good, but it's nowhere near the desktop equivalents. Audio quality isn't bad, and the UI's are generally nice...but not having a common storage space means a lot of redundant files. Also getting files ONTO the iPad drives me nuts because I don't actually keep iTunes on any but my windows laptop and I don't carry that around everywhere. </div><div><br></div><div>The Surface Pro is a full self contained system with a well established and mature file system that I can port stuff to as easily as any desktop or laptop. But unlike the tablets of the last few years, they have highly improved the touch experience. It costs a lot more, but that is because its an actual content creation tool instead of one designed primarily with consumption in mind.</div><div><br></div><div>Oh, and I can hook a mouse to it if I need to. For some apps/activities, that's still just the best way to work. </div><div><br></div><div>Tony </div><br><div>> > Not to be a downer, but does not look like anything you could not have done on the tablet pc's of the last how many years?<br>> <br>> Sure, but I guess I'm just impressed with the integration of the musical keypad, plus the extra power to be attained from using x86 ..<br>> <br><br></div><div><br></div> </div></body>
