My feeling is that there's subbass 'beating' in the intro and they are a bit disturbing at least in my headphones.

If it was me, I'd compress/eq the hell out of it to get it more in your face and bring out all the instruments. I tend to over do it but this sounds very 'tape demo', unless that was the intention of course :)

There is that one key (the voic-ey one) that is definetly more in front than all the rest (including arps & percs) and I don't think it's right.

Hope that's helpful.
Gents,

I've been invited (well I forced myself upon them to be honest!) to
submit another track for the follow up compilation album of this:

http://www.groove.nl/cd/3/33644.html

This time the 20 or so artists create one track that adheres to one of
four decades from the 70s to now of classic electronic music. The decade
I've chosen is 80s - no surprises there!

Here's an early mix:
Hi CHrist,

I only had a quick listen, because I'm working on my own stuff atm.

My thoughts:

1. I like the themes and sounds and the overall idea.
2. I don't like the intro. It makes the track feel boring and slow.
3. Perhaps you might think about losing some of those loooong notes, and trade them in for short release stuff.
4. The overall sound is good, although some sounds could use a bit of (extra) EQ to give them more space in the mix and/or prevent too much pressure from them.

Cool that you're on the album again :-)
