<br>You are all cordially invited to Münster (11 AM) or Enschede (7:30 pm). It's free as in free short film viewing pleasure.<br><br>It will be a film with an electronic soundtrack (made with Ableton Live, Max/MSP, Logic, Largo, Kontakt4 and field recordings) with a second level of music coming from two live musicians, a violin (Julia Philippens from Amsterdam) and a trombone (Gunnar Weiper from Münster). The film was filmed in front of a greenscreen and backdrops were later added.<br>

<br><br>The film Wert der Grenze is a narration about neighbors meeting each other. A Dutch actress and a German actor meet for the first time, in front of the camera and start looking for similarities, differences and the reason for this encounter.<br>
<br>At the same time two musicians, also from Germany and the Netherlands meet in front of the screen and give a musical interpretation of the film, using codes embedded in the film for an improvised/composed soundtrack.<br>
<br>The film thus becomes it’s own soundtrack’s notation.<br><br>Jort Bonne and Kai Niggemann went on a journey to discover the connecting and the seperating traits of the border that runs through the middle of the “Euregio” and parts Germany and the Netherlands.<br>

Enschede<br>Reserveringen: 053-4301887<br><a href="http://www.hetvestzaktheater.nl/" target="_blank">www.hetvestzaktheater.nl</a><br><br><br>WAT IS DE GRENS WAARD?<br>In de film “Wat is de grens waard?“ verteld over een ontmoeting tussen buren. Een Nederlandse actrice en een Duitse acteur leren elkaar kennen voor de camera en zoeken naar waar ze in verschillen, wat ze bind en de reden dat ze elkaar treffen. Tegelijkertijd bevinden zich voor het filmdoek twee muzikanten, een Nederlandse violiste en een Duitse trombonist, die de in de film verwerkte muzikale codes interpreteren. Zo is de film de notatie geworden van haar eigen soundtrack.<br>
<br>Komponist Kai Niggemann en filmmaker Jort Bonne hebben in opdracht van het GrensWerte projekt van Euregio vier maanden samengewerkt, en daarin het thema “Het geheime leven van de buren“ verkend. Daaruit is deze film met live soundtrack ontstaan.<br>
