... is one of the new crop.  I got a 20" and am slowly migrating files

from my PC, setting up Thunderbird, logging in to all 45,938 social

networks I'm on so that Firefox can remember all those passwords!<br>

I'm looking for a free vi editor.  I don't like Vim and the one I can

access from the Terminal isn't too swift at getting around to all the

directories since I have to cd here and cd there.  I used Lemmy on my

PC and want something like that.  (Is Emacs like vi?  I never used it.)<br>

I have Audacity for sound editing until I get Bootcamp going and load

in Adobe Audition, a fantastic editor that I already own.  Fusion

should allow me to run WinXP side by side with OS X so I won't even

have to reboot before and after using Audition.<br>

I also bought an M-Audio 1814 firewire audio/MIDI interface since

Musicians Friend is blowing them out for only $250.  That will let me

use my M-Powered Pro Tools on the iMac!  Yippie!<br>

<br>

Now I need a new desk, a small keyboard controller, powered monitors,

and a tiny mixer to turn my office into another studio.  It makes sense

to do that since I spend so much time here and my actual studio is two

flights of stairs away.  Oh yes, I need <b>terabytes</b> of external

hard drives!<br>
