Musik und Theater Hamburg and the Hungarian Computer Music Foundation<br>is inviting project proposals for its 2009 summer residency and the<br>2009/2010 concert season.<br><br>The European Bridges Ensemble (EBE) is looking for an artist(*) or a<br>
team of artists interested in working together to create a network<br>piece. Its duration should be between 6 to 12 minutes.<br><br>The artist(s) chosen will work with the ensemble during the summer<br>residency in Hamburg, Germany between July 11 and 25, 2009. The result<br>
will be presented at the 2009 Hamburg Klangwerktage festival in late<br>November as well as at the Music in the Global Village conference in<br>Budapest in early December of 2009.<br><br>The ensemble:<br>The ensemble consists of 5 electronic musicians (Kai Niggemann,<br>
Germany; Adam Siska, Hungary; Johannes Kretz, Austria; Andrea<br>Szigetvári, Hungary; Ivana Ognjanovic, Serbia) performing on standard<br>and/or alternate controllers, a video artists (Stewart Collinson, UK)<br>and a conductor (Georg Hajdu, Germany).<br>
<br>Prize:<br>The ensemble will pay for travel, accommodation as well as a stipend<br>of 1000 Euros (for individual) or 2000 Euros (for a team of two and<br>more) for the Hamburg residency.<br><br>Application:<br>The applicants are supposed to send a portfolio either by mail or<br>
email containing<br>- samples of previous works demonstrating expertise both in live music<br>and video processing (knowledge of network/Internet music is an asset<br>but not an absolute requirement.)<br>- a detailed description of the proposed project including a statement<br>
on the use of alternate controllers, video and audio.<br>- a CV<br><br>Requirements:<br>Workshops during the residency will provide expertise in how to use<br>the Quintet.net—the environment the European Bridges Ensemble uses in<br>
their performances. Advanced knowledge of Cycling '74's Max<br>programming environment is a necessity. We particularly encourage the<br>use of Percussa's AudioCubes of which the ensemble owns six.<br><br>Deadline: March 10, 2009<br>
