>

The LED Throwies are definitely very fun for the first few hours, not
so after the batteries run out and you have to collect them all
again! :)

> this is look quite very cool :
> is it a test for touch screen ?

No, its a big fat multi-touch surface screen, already working and
built by some metalab guys, and it is *hell* fun to play with .. even
had me using softsynths and ableton live for a while there!

And there are quite a few other projects to do this happening in the
metalab these days - I'm part of the Performancer team that is putting
things together, and we've made 4 of these types of systems
recently .. very easy and cheap! Spot the ghetto-multitouch table
consisting of an old iMac case .. ;)
>

That is one of the entries from the recent Roboexotica competition
that is funded by the Austrian NetzNetz division of the government ..
it didn't work so well if I recall, but yeah .. it really looks good!
The purpose of this years Roboexotica was to make a robot to mix
drinks. I don't recall drinking anything other than this really foul
vodka orange cocktail that night, but it sure was a hell of a lot of
fun to hang out with a bunch of robots in a party!
