Playing a few tracks. Very nice. It’s funny, I remember being really happy with the Equators when I got them. And I could just copy/paste my previous experience: > Wanna share that I’m amazed at the ‘space’ that these speakers create. I don’t know how to describe it exactly, just that I’m often surprised by how ‘open' everything sounds. I’m not sure if the word is ‘transparent’, it’s just that details pop out much more vividly, especially with stereo sounds. Just again much more detailed than my Equators, which were much more detailed than the Tannoy Active Reveals. I feel that particularly the lows are more defined (kicks are very punchy), a wider stereo image (like the cymbals in drums are panned out much further) and individual elements (particularly voice) are more seperated. It’s basically easier to recognize all individual elements in a track. Great! Had a bit of a mess with it but didn't get up to anything very much. Then somehow last week I finally got around to digging into it a little deeper, and despite some pretty extreme limitations it's an amazingly fun musical instrument. I made a bunch of disorganised experimental patterns and a few bits and pieces in the week which comprise the first part of this set, and the second half of the set is pretty much jammed on the spot. This was recorded live at a socially-distanced micro-rave ;-) played on my friend's bike-trailer sound system, which was towed up into the woods, in the hills near where we live. There were a total of six attendees and the opportunity to play this little set was there so I took it. It was amazingly fun to do and I can't quite believe it happened... I never ever thought I would play a gig on my phone, let alone one I was pretty happy with and have been enjoying listening to since! :-) Listen here: https://soundcloud.com/muteqx/micro-rave-kaossilator-app-liveset-11072020 Download here: http://files.muteqx.com/20200711_muteqx_micro-rave_liveset_320.mp3 http://files.muteqx.com/20200711_muteqx_micro-rave_liveset.flac Has anyone else done live sets using just a phone? Cool, nice track. I happened to watch a video by Doctor Mix (who mercifully toned down his over-the-top performance a notch or two) and the Hydrasynth looks really nice. But polyphonic aftertouch? God knows how much this thing is going to cost, I thought. And it turned out: really not that much. I setup a simple patch with my Livewire AFG and Intellijel Moregasmatron. It waa pretty easy to get a nice little late 70s bad sci-fi synth line going. I decided to record 88 bars of it and post it to SoundCloud under Creative Commons. Anyone who wants to do whatever to it can. Message-ID: Hi Bar, I've recently started tutoring a budding teenage producer who is using Ableton Live Lite 10. Ableton isn't my usual DAW. I have Live Lite 8 from a Focusrite soundcard I bought a few years back, but I'm wanting to get hold of Live Lite 10 so we're working on the same software and can send projects to each other more easily. I wondered if someone has a spare serial for Live Lite 10 that you're not using and would be willing to part with for some beer money? :-D My serial gathered dust in a box for some years so I'm guessing it's a common occurrence for those who are already established and don't need the Lite version. Perhaps you have multiple serials lying around...!? I can't be bothered to pirate things any more. I'm running Bitwig 3 on Linux as of very recently and enjoying it so far. But my student is using Lite 10 so I'm looking to find myself a legitimate copy. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! ~Dave -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <6B17DED2-533C-4798-9B31-B770C1AFA97E@icloud.com> Dave— I’ve had Live Lite since 4.0 and my former M-Audio controller keyboard about 10-15 years ago. If you login to Ableton’s website you should be able to download the latest Live Lite version. I’ve been upgrading ever since then and am on version 10.x now on my Mac Mini running Catalina. That being said, if you still need a code I can give you an extra one for free since when I purchased my Akai MPC X last spring they started offering a Live Lite free code once version 2.7 of their firmware/software added the Ableton Live Control Surface feature. Let me know if you still need it. I can login to my Akai support site and generate a code for you if so. In any case, I don’t think I’ve ever even used my original Live Lite version since I got it way back when other than installing it and testing to make sure it works on my Mac Mini. Not a software guy, strictly hardware for me. --komatos/wasted twitter.com/KomatosRecords soundcloud.com/KomatosRecords > On Jul 28, 2020, at 3:54 AM, Dave S wrote: > > Hi Bar, > > I've recently started tutoring a budding teenage producer who is using Ableton Live Lite 10. > > Ableton isn't my usual DAW.
