That combo connector is the key thing I didn't know about!

As for budget, I have no idea. I just need something that does what I need
to do, and I don't want to pay for a lot of other stuff I won't use. The
only thing I've found so far that seems to fit my idea of a simple box that
I can plug my analogue gear into with very few frills is the M-Audio
M-Track Eight.
