Monitors are getting way too complicated.

If I got a new Mac I would have deff gotten one of these but currently looking for something that will play nice with my beastly Alienware w/gtx1070 and occasionally my 2013 mbp (not capable of 4K)

5k is interesting but part of me thinks it could be a waste of CPU/GPU power for me (or am I being silly?) plus this guy is way more geared to macs.

Looking to see when this guy comes out
http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32UD89-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor As I am comfortable using 4K native on a 32". I heard 4K on 27 is not great because of the app scaling ratio (that's why Apple prefers 5k.)

I noticed for instance Ableton on windows still does not scale properly. On my 4K 15" with OS set to scale to 150 or 175 Ableton looks blurry as hell. You have to disable scaling for Ableton and then set it inside the preferences of the app, but then 3rd party plugs will be fucked.

Meanwhile can't stream 4K Netflix unless you have kaby lake, and it's simply because of decoding copy protection! When's someone going to make the computer industry great again?

Sent from my way for the government to locate me at all times.
