What's cool is that sounds that you had in your head, but was really only realizable with a bunch of automation, this brings it to real-time and becomes inherent in your performance.
For example, I love those sweet moving bass sounds you hear in some of the beats/bass-related genres.  So easy to setup with this...no lose of creative momentum.
