Cool vibe Nigel.  

I am totally into the idea of injecting organic means of expression into a track, and am getting NI's Maschine Jam to help with that since I use Maschine quite a bit.  I can't be bothered to go in and draw automation curves, etc., after the fact :-)

It's a little rough still, but this is all pretty live using just the Octatrack in one go. The noisy bits are a bit loud....
For those who know the Octa, I've mapped a whole bunch of interesting things to the slider for scene mutation.
Some samples it modifies the slices being played, some the pitch, some the speed, various cutoff and volume changes, plus there are also some LFOs being mapped to similar parameters with the slider changing the LFO depth and/or speed.
