I cloned my system disk (10.8.5) twice and upgraded the clones to 10.10.5 and 10.11 resp.
I only had a brief look so far but ...
Look and feel is better on El Cap than on Yosi but man, coming from 10.8 I don't like this flat pale look.
San Francisco is better than that $/%&$/ on 10.10.
But, SIP prevents my mobile data stick to work.
Since it's out of production I don't think any signed drivers will show up.
Menumeters don't work at all, regardless if SIP is active or not,
Software like Live, Max/MSP, VMware Fusion seems to be fine.
Although, Live has some weird screen flicker when starting up, might be dealing with metal?
As for the general visual impression this OS X versions deliver, I switched on high contrast
which makes it a tad more bearable.
I have yet to do a thorough test.
