Camera recommendations

So, I was also in a need for a good small camera that would take good pictures *and* take good HD camera last summer, so I wouldn't need to carry a camecorder around.  After a but if searching I ended up getting the Sony DSC-RX100 iii model.  That guy is in the "compact system" category, and it totally rocks.  That and one of those small hand grips is all you need.  Highly recommended.
