Press:
Util (you're now in the menu)
Enter (you're now in the "system" menu)
3x Cursor Right (now you're on "other")
Enter (now you're in LCD contrast)
Press Value - a couple of times (contrast decreases with higher values)

Good luck!
Martin

Still looking for my copy of the FS1R manual, which I should RTFM, so I just thought anyway in the odd case that it inspires one of us to turn on your FS1R, hah hah .. So I’m reviving my FS1R after its internal cell battery has died .. NVRAM has been reset .. and cell battery now replaced. I have the problem (had it before) that the LCD Contrast setting is now set at 0 : i.e. disable LCD display. There is a way to set the contrast, but I need to know the monkey-tapping required to get to the menu from bootup onwards, maybe from a working FS1R, to confirm this theory.

So, if you’ve got one in front of you, might you do the minimal thing from power-on to lcd contrast menu, and write down what keys you press to get there? Thanks!

j.
