The deepest effect is when new music finds our ears, when we are ready 
to hear it.
For the first three to six months, it is a new message, and the message 
is strong
when the music is really different. The music can be any form, bands, 
bach, or
some archive recording from anywhere, anytime, as long as it's 
unfamiliar, and
gives the feeling of familiarity. Then it's speaking of the future, 
because you
know it, but it's not from your past. After a while, you must let this 
music go,
and when you hear it again, it will be only nostalgia for the moment of 
discovery.

Nostalgia can be beautiful, but the future is the only place where you 
can find
something more beautiful than anything in your experience.
