the ms-20 3u challenge

The Braids throws me for a loop when we're talking MS-20 but I'm assuming you are making that your oscillator/noise source?

Keeping the 1400 price in mind and Braids as your main sounds source this will give you a mixer/mult, dual MS-20 type filters, dual LFO, two adsr's, dual VCA, and line in and out.

One thing I would change would be an intellijel dual adsr instead of the Pittsburgh but it would take you a little over 14.
