Wot is yor DAW? (was: RE: OK, I Give Up)

Not that I've done much music making over the past 5 years, but here is my (very) minimalist studio/DAW:

1) Beat Thang hardware with 2x32GB SD cards + thousands of samples accumulated over the last 20 years
2) AKG K240s studio headphones
3) 2.3 GHz i7 Quad Core Mac Mini (late 2012 model) with 16GB DDR3 RAM
4) When needed, use built in audio input & output on Mac Mini (no external sound card)

DAW/Audio software loaded on the Mini:
1) Beat Thang Virtual
2) Audacity
3) Ableton Live Lite 8.x version (4 track free version that came with my former Axiom 25 MIDI controller keyboard)
4) Garage Band
5) ReBirth 338 & ReCycle running in Windows XP SP3 under Virtual Box emulation on OS X Yosemite
6) A handful of BeOS audio programs running in Haiku OS R4A1 under Virtual Box emulation

Other than occasionally noodling with the Beat Thang hardware & software when I have the time (and inspiration) I really don't know much about the other software other than setting them up.

In the interim a few macbooks have been a nice mix to the Windows based world of mine. However, with my PC getting to be around 13 or so years old, it was time for an upgrade. So, I've decided to go all out and splurge:
