Yea it's true, though there were some weird problems along the way like going through periods where it would just spit out digital noise at random. But yea taking another look at motu, I like the hybrid interface idea too, though when I was looking at the ultralight I was reminded that I need optical for my expert sleepers modular interface.

They always had the same problem: a corrupted onboard FPG (I think that's what it was) and had to be sent back for a repair by presonus (which cost me every time took a few weeks round trip). I, personally, won't buy another one of their products after that.

I have had it for maybe 10?! years, which is good but it has not been without well documented problems in the past that come and go, so I'm thinking its time for a change from motu. Looking at the Focusright Saffire pro 40 right now. Thinking of staying FireWire, and the Saffire products are compatible with thunderbolt/FireWire adapter (not sure if this is just marketing bull.)
